29er Porto World Championship

The penultimate day of the 2025 29er Porto World Championship delivered yet another twist, as light wind conditions once again reshuffled the competitive landscape. The gentle breeze that persisted throughout the day particularly favored the lighter teams, allowing them to climb up the overall rankings.

Despite the challenges, teams that managed to maintain consistent performances held their ground at the top of the leaderboard. Consistency has proven to be a key asset in this final stretch of the championship, where the world’s best are tightly packed.

The day ended with a new TOP 3, featuring Norwegian duo Nicklas Holt and Philip Forslund in the lead, followed by the French teams Jocelyn Le Goff / Jules Vidor and Nolann Huet Des Aunay / Titouan Gresset.

In the female category, Polish sailors Antonina Puchowska and Alicja Dampc lead the standings, while the mixed category is topped by Italy’s Giulia Bartolozzi and Pietro Rizzi.

From Day 1, the coastal spectacle in Porto has been non-stop. Each race has delivered thrilling moments for sailors and the enthusiastic crowds lining the beaches and pontoons around Douro Marina. With the world title still up for grabs, this edition promises a dramatic and unpredictable conclusion.

The 2025 29er Porto World Championship concludes tomorrow, Friday, with the final races for the Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Emerald fleets, followed by the official Awards Ceremony, which will take place at the end of the day at Douro Marina.
