Tickets for the SailGP Season 3 Grand Final | San Francisco are now on sale, giving fans the opportunity to once again experience the high-adrenaline conclusion to the SailGP Season 3 Championship on San Francisco Bay on May 6 – 7, 2023.
After an action-packed Season 2 Grand Final which featured thrilling crashes, capsizes and close competition, 2023 promises to raise the bar even higher. Spectators can look forward to nine identical flying F50s battling for the right to compete in the final race of SailGP Season 3, the Grand Final.
Not only will the season championship be decided but the league’s second podium for the planet, the Impact League, will see its champions rewarded. The Impact League tracks the positive actions SailGP teams make to reduce their overall carbon footprint and help accelerate inclusivity in sailing.
A wide range of ticketing options are available to fans both on and off the water, from reserved grandstand seating right at the water’s edge and premium corporate suite offerings, to unbeatable viewpoints from your own vessel as part of SailGP’s Bring Your Own Boat Program.
Throughout the course of Season 3, close competition has taken center stage with Australia, New Zealand, France and the United States team led by Jimmy Spithill capturing victories across the eight events thus far. Tom Slingsby’s Australia team currently leads the Season 3 standings from New Zealand and Great Britain.
Two more events, the KPMG Australia Sail Grand Prix on Sydney Harbour on February 18 – 19 and the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix in Christchurch on March 18 – 19, will lead into Season 3’s exciting conclusion in San Francisco.
With the anticipated top-end conditions that San Francisco is famous for, the F50s will be racing on the edge, consistently pushing the 60 mph (100 km/h) threshold as the teams from Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Great Britain, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland and the United States race on San Francisco Bay between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island.
“San Francisco is one of the best racing venues in the world, and the Bay holds some of my favorite racing memories, including last year’s SailGP Grand Final,” said Spithill, United States SailGP Team CEO and Driver. He and the American team battled Australia and Japan in the Season 2 Grand Final, falling just short against the winning Australian team. “It will be great to return to the U.S. and be racing in front of our American fans.”
Fans will enjoy two days of thrilling racing just off of Marina Green, allowing spectators front-row views of the competition from the SailGP race village. Tickets start at $75 for reserved grandstand seating, which includes live race commentary and access to the SailGP Fan Village with food and beverages available for purchase.
