In this invisible kayak, the seabed has no more secrets
Sailing on the most beautiful seas takes on a whole new meaning once aboard this transparent kayak.
How many times during one of your rowing or kayaking outings have you thought: “if the bottom of my boat was transparent, we could fully enjoy the seabed on the way”?
Precisely from this premise, the American company specializing in luxury products Hammacher Schlemmer began manufacturing a splendid totally transparent canoe-kayak for two people in order to enjoy underwater landscapes otherwise inaccessible to the eye.
Nice, robust, light.
Made of Lexan (polycarbonate, a super-resistant plastic material used in combat aircraft) half a centimeter thick, this 3.3-meter canoe-kayak combines solidity with elegance without forgetting robustness. Especially since the material allows it to weigh less than 22 kg , which makes it easier to transport on the roof of a car and requires less effort to move forward.
This kayak supports up to 193 kg , and is available on the Hammacher Schlemmer boutique website for €2,550.
