The woman was stranded in the ocean for 12 hours, and a novice captain saved her guided by dolphins
A man on his newly purchased sailboat and first trip out to sea saw dolphins three miles off the coast of Marina Del, California.
He followed them and saw a woman’s hand waving in the ocean.
She had been swimming naked the night before and was washed into the sea from the beach, stranded for 12 hours.
It’s amazing how she survived so long, like those dolphins knew she needed help.
The woman had been in the water for 12 hours after being swept away. She spent three days in the hospital recovering from extreme hypothermia. “I would never have seen her if she weren’t for the dolphins,” said the captain.
Moments after admiring a stunning view of a pod of dolphins, the crew of a sailboat off the coast of California saw something else in the ocean: a human hand.
University professor Koz Khosravani couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw a naked woman floating in the water. “She had enough energy to [wave her arm] one more time.”
Khosravani and her friends carried the woman on board and covered her with a pile of towels and blankets. She was cold, exhausted, and unable to speak.
The 26-year-old woman had bathed at midnight in front of Venice Beach and was swept away by the current. She was in the water for 12 hours.
”Swimming on the beach at night is dangerous. I have made it a silly idea. It is difficult to know how far you are from the coast. The lights are all on the shore. It gives the illusion that you are closer than you think ”said the woman.
“They really directed me towards her. I would never have seen her if she weren’t for the dolphins”said the captain.
The woman then spent three days in the hospital recovering from extreme hypothermia.
