Today the Spanish SailGP team presents the third installment of its documentary series, “Back together in Santander”, with the testimonies of its crew in Santander and special statements from the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation and SailGP

MADRID – October 13, 2020 – Spain SailGP Team presents today the third episode of its own-produced documentary series, shot entirely at the High Performance Center of the Spanish Sailing Federation in the Cantabrian capital. This new piece, signed by Ugo Fonollá, reflects the harsh discipline of the Olympic preparation of the different athletes of “The Spanish Armada”: Jordi Xammar and his crew, Nico Rodríguez (class 470), Diego Botin and Iago López Marra (class 49er ), Florian Trittel with his cane, Tara Pacheco (Nacra17 class), and Joan Cardona (Finn class).

This third episode gives special prominence to Jordi Xammar who, after the Olympic Games. from Tokyo next summer, he will take over the helm of the F50 Victoria competing in SailGP.
It has also been tried to reflect the different points of view on the compatibility of the Olympic event with the SailGP world circuit next season. For this, in addition to the crew themselves, the piece has the intervention of the president of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, Julia Casanueva, the director of the Spanish Olympic Sailing Team, Santi López-Vázquez and the general director of SailGP, Sir Russell Coutts.
It should be noted that the next SailGP season will have a test in Spain, whose official headquarters will be announced next November.
